Well my favorite summer tune is not really a summer tune, but it definitely rocks and this is Ted Nugent’s Stranglehold. This goes back to the time when rock-n-roll was really coming into it’s own i.e. maturing. Things were vastly different in the ’60s & ’70s and there were several great bands that can still rival with the top groups today.

Favorite summertime song? This goes back to my 80′s hair metal days! Without a doubt. Black-N-Blue – “Nature of the Beach”. I lived about an hour from North Myrtle Beach back then and this was mandatory listening on the way to the beach!!!

My favorite summer song is “Playboy” by an artist named Todd Simpson and his band Mojo Child. I don’t expect anybody to really know it, because he’s realtively unknown, only playing small shows(Atleast I assume, I saw him at a Hardrock Cafe). However, this is the song that makes me think of summer. It’s incredibly catchy, and Todd has virtuoso level ability. He’s going places, and this is the summer song. Heres a link:
